Hayes Leisure Park

Hayes Farm Park is a unique location for a second home. Less than 30 miles from London and only a short drive from the famous holiday resort of Southend-on-Sea, Hayes Farm rests in over 25 acres of greenbelt parkland by the banks of the River Crouch.

The informal atmosphere of the Park is an ideal environment for relaxation, whether chatting with friends, doing a spot of gardening or taking a leisurely stroll through the countryside. Excellent stables are near to hand and cater for beginners and skilled riders alike. There is also a special play area and woodland adventure trail for the children to explore.

The River Crouch, famous for its sailing provides the main focus for outdoor activities, with adequate mooring facilites, and a purpose built landing stage. Try your hand at sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, water skiing, or if you prefer, swimming, fishing or just watching - at Hayes Farm the choice is yours.

Enjoy a drink and a chat with friends at our splendid, fully licensed Clubhouse overlooking the river. Its cheerful atmosphere, live entertainment and discos at the weekends, special party nights and children's entertainment, all contribute to that 'Getting away from it all' feeling.

Medina Park Area

The park is close to the Folly Inn, Folklore has it that the Folly originated from a French barge that ran aground in the 18th Century, selling illegal alcohol. Today its a lively place 10 mins from the park and selling lovely food and there are boat moorings which are available at Folly reach. There is another Marina 15 mins along the river path "island harber" which also has a very good place to eat and have a drink.

1½ miles away is Osborne House the home of Queen Victoria. 2 miles away is East Cowes and just across on the Floating Bridge is Cowes the home of the Famous yachting race.

There are six ways to get to the island by ferry they are,

  1. Southampton to East Cowes - Car/Passenger
  2. Southampton to West Cowes - High Speed Foot Passenger
  3. Lymington to Yarmouth - Car/Passenger
  4. Portsmouth to Fishbourne - Car/Passenger
  5. Portsmouth to Ryde - High Speed Foot Passenger
  6. Southsea to Ryde - Hovercraft Foot Passenger

Our central location makes us an ideal base for visiting the many historic Castles, such as Leeds Castle, Hever Castle and the famous Sissinghurst Castle and gardens only 5 minutes drive away. You are spoilt for choice if you want to take in nature, from bird watching to country and woodland walks. There are many other attractions throughout Kent and East Sussex, which are all within easy reach.

Country drives or bike rides through the many quaint villages in the area are also a must, perhaps taking in a glass of our local Biddenden Wine or enjoying a Cream Tea at one of the tearooms in the area.
